2011 VRS value

Featured Replies

When I did a "webuyanycar" thing on my car it came back at 13.6K with it being a year old with 9K miles (mines only on 6k) Was impressed with that level from them its a 2011 CR manual. Might be good to get a quote from them as a base price and tell any dealer offering lower to poke off. (they are notorious for knocking cash off for tiny imperfections but was on watchdog the other week that they are not as bad now after getting told off for it)

Read this post which is shared widely across the RS246.com forum

And this from audizine

http://www.audizine....B8-S4-vs-B7-RS4!

This is an interesting comparison.

Interesting stuff and whilst the RS5 is ultimately a bit faster it's the impressive torque of the S4 available from low down that makes it more useable.

I'll be interested to see what Audi put in the B8 RS4 as they are sure to give it a better performance advantage over the S4 than the B7.

Nicky - will be interested to hear your thoughts when you've had a drive of yours. All this talk of the S4 is dangerous for me I might end up getting tempted!

The new RS4 is getting the same engine and gearbox combo as the RS5.

If you're nice I might let you have a spin (not literally) in mine when I get back!

Could anybody give me a realistic value of my car. VRS 2.0ltr with DSG, 8k miles. August 2011 in Sprint Blue. Extras include full leather, Xenons, park sensors, sun roof and sat nav. It was 22k new, with VAT paid. It has had a Shark remap and fitted with full Milltek exhaust. Getting silly low quotes from dealers!! Thanks a lot.

How come your selling it, it's still new???

What will yours do 0 100 Johno???

On a private road of course???

Andy

No idea I've never done it and to be honest it wouldn't be great due to lack of traction I suspect.

I would be interested to know from Nicky what the S4 does 40 to 100 in as a comparison against Revo'd Golf R and vRS; obviously once it's run in and when he's found a nice private road.

I assume that's recent news as I remember reading a few weeks back that Audi were keeping it under wraps but I guess i could of been reading old news.

If you fancy taking me for a spin to show off your new beast that would be great cheers; I will obviously drewl with jealousy

I got offered a bit more from cash4cars compared with webuyanycar. Try them also.

I will write an honest review after a few weeks with it. I'm probably going to run it in a little first.

New RS4

The torque in the S4 is indeed what means it will keep with the RS4. Area under graph and all that. Plus RS4s are min 4 years old and full of carbon generally. Il post pics in weds.

The S4 gives about 192lbs torque per ton and 194bhp per ton.

Interestingly a Revo stage 1 gives about 215lbs torque and 183 bhp per ton. This isn't based on Revo's claims of 314lbs and 275bhp by the way but by the figures JKM got on their rollers of 255bhp and 310lbs - see below.

This is why I am amazed that the S4 is close to the RS4 as I would imagine a stage 1 vRS would be destroyed by an RS4.

Go figure that all out!
