2.0tsi remap

Not on a TSi you can't. It doesn't work trust me.

Why not? Does it work on the tfsi? Was thinking of getting one to switch between stock and pm2/3.

I don't know why mate. It does on the TFSi as i used to use it all the time. But that was another reason i decided against REVO as there is no Anti-Theft on the TSi. When i asked they just said it doesn't work and they have no plans to implement it.

You can switch Programs just not use the Anti-Theft

Carl - interested in your reasons for going APR over shark? Was it only based on the immobiliser point? The shark has an immobiliser map but I've never needed to use it so i can't comment on how/if it works.

As jonno rightly points out very few have had both maps on the same car to compare so there is very little empirical knowledge and experience to base decisions on..

I also had a problem with my car like pooch which was not caused by the map, but none the less diagnosed by ben and resolved (failing coil pack) very rapidly. Ben then spend a further hour FOC tweaking the map to suit my car which was just awesome :)

Jonno's mate is the only instance i've heard of where someone's not been happy with a shark map - i suspect if this was more common we'd hear about it on the forum. FWIW my car occasionally hesitated whether on the oe or shark maps - turned out to be related an issue with the intake manifold, fixed under warranty but clearly nothing to do with the mapping - maybe your mate experienced something similar and put it down (wrongly) to the map? Just a thought?

Just had the car remapped by Revo today. Feels fantastic now - highly recommended!!

My friend's was fine with the Revo map; it was just the Shark map. I have heard of others with similar problems, like I said Nickboy mentioned it too. My friend's username was geordiesherman and he made at least one post about it if you can find it but he's since changed his car a few times so doesn't come on here now.

I have Hesitation when I go WOT, but for only a brief second, not sure whats causing it as I havent logged yet or put on a RR!
