ha ha ha ha it gets better by the minute

they had the electronic boost controller plumbed in completly wrong for an external waste gate

fecking hell this guy ran a performance shop lmfao dont have a clue springs to mind lol

the way they had it plumbed meant it just acted as a manual boost controller lol

here are a few pics so far from when i picked up car to a few shots from a few weeks ago i will get lots more pics up of the engine build interior change fuel system etc etc as time goes on and how go

  • Wow, sounds like, er, fun! Looking forward to the pics.

:( is the turbo alright after that?

  • Author

yeah turbo will be fine it just meant having a ebc was pointless as it wasnt controlling boost as it should/can

it was all via the spring pressure

clueless sprngs to mind

if they read the manual it even clearly shows you how to connect it for an actuator and then for external wastegate lol

cheers steve its been alot of hard work but nearly there

all i need next are your brakes lol

They should do the job

Rods OK ?

ps

Steve might notice if his brakes go missing ;)

  • Author

Lol rods fine but i have sent them off to the engineers to check just to be safe i have a spare set anyway lol

No steve wont notice lol i will put some push on ap covers from ebay lol

This brings back memories of the poor rebuild done on my son's SEAT Cupra R when he bought it. Was supposedly mapped and built with a K04, BAM head, heavy engine work, all the usual suspects for 350hp. 1 week later, rod through the side of block. When we opened it up you couldn't believe your eyes. Rebuilt new engine with Integrated Engineering rods and basically did the job that should have been done in the first place. Top stuff so far - cant wait to see it done - good luck.

cheers mate

always ashame as it was seen as the ultimate car on the forum !!! little did people know just how bad it was and how dangerous it was !!! the people that built this car should hang there heads in shame !!!!

Hmmmmmmm nice shiny forged pistons

Just got back from machine shop and after aslong chat i have given him the complete rotating bottom end and they will dynamic bakance the whole lot

So the engine will be fully blue printed and balanced whoop whoop dont do things by halfs lol

Equal length mannifold sent to engineering shop to have all the crap welds redoing and to open the waste gate port as it was 50% reduced due to pipe welding

They will port and reweld and check everything and put it on there flow machine ;-) oh and a touch of zirotech ;-)

This car is going to be fecking mad lol love it

Got any pics of the mani ?

  • Author

Yeah will get it up when its back ;-) will show before and after ;-)

I have decided to make this the ultimate monster and be as bullet proof as poss so when i sell i can put my name to the ?ar knowing its been done to 150% unlike otherS

Someone is going to get a bargain monster imo

Shame you're putting the engine back into that FWD shell really

4x4's are very cheap these days - could probably buy one for the cost of all that bracing you're planning to stick on it

Fwd mo?e fun ;-)

Ive had big powerd 4x4 scoobys and imo i love fwd its all about the mapping;-)

Should buy the engine off m? then lol to stick in yours ;-)

Reckon it would fit in a fabia? ;)

  • Author

Yes ofcourse it will ;-)

Whats the original story with this car? I think it was before my time on these forums..sounds interesting

It was bought by Des (Delcac) originally as a 52 plate red VRS think it was from Sherlodge garage in Kent. All the work on it was mainly done at Impossible Performance. Spec here (before Clive bought it):

Vid here of it in Czech back in 2006:

Yeah d?s had it over 400 a? some point how i never know as it was shocking imo

Everypart of this ?ar has been uprated with new or replaced or redone so there isnt much of the old ?ar apart from the shell

This time around its been built properly and mapped properly with 100hrs of man hours and a few k on new parts

The engine will be brand new fully balanced etc etc

The ?ar will need nothing apart from an owner with big balls lol

Its now a 2.0ltr it wasnt before !!!!!

Should buy the engine off m? then lol to stick in yours ;-)

tempting - sure it would support an even more rapid boost with my turbo and mani on it - not that mine suffers from any form of lag.

But I've got a nicely working setup now, and having been through my own ordeal of sorting others folks balls-ups, don't want to change anything.

  • Author

trust me when i say this setup is epic

with the stroked engine and the billet crank and billet flywheel with the fully equal length mannifold and small gt30 externally gated you will see full bosst by 3500 rpm ;-)

call me for a chat buddy

mod number sent via pm i will tell you a few of the secrets ;-)
