Elecrical Problem?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, went out to the car this morning to set off to work, the first thing I noticed that it wasnt locked from last night, so just thought I had forgot to lock it. I started the car and due to some condensation on the windows so pressed the buttons to down the front windows, but they didnt go down automaticaly I had to hold the switches down and the same to put them up, got to work and the car would not lock via the remote key had to do it manualy and also the red light has stopped flashing on the door card. It was all working fine last night so what could the problem be? Cheers guys

I will also add that we have had a lot of rain the past few days, could this have something to do with it?

Hi Scotty!

I have experienced something similar with my car, and the solution was to dry up the connector to the door control module. I bet its corroded from the water getting in there. The door control module is attached to the window regulator on the driver side door. Waterproof it afterwards.

the key point here - address this quickly before the potential water ingress makes more of a mess of connector block.
