problem is my car is not boosting and there is a crack in the black plastic top part which is the movement sensor. The metal part with the pipe on is fine. could anyone advise whether the cracked plastic part would cause a lack of boost?

It won't fit mate, it's a fix for CR engines. Are you talking about the part where the plug connects too? What fault codes have you got?

Yes its the plastic part. Had it in at a garage in Birmingham to get a sensor changed and they must have dropped a tool on it and cracked the top. Got the car home and in local dealer- not flagging a low boost code but the mityvac is showing lack of boost and can hear air passing through the crack. Why did they not make the vacuum chamber seperate is beyond me. Going to try and araldite it to stop the leak
