Would I get away with fitting 205 45 18 tyres and bolt straight on to car or will I need modification to get them fit

Yes but probably need arch work - a mate did it on his Ibiza, same platform so do-able. You need 215/35/18 I reckon - they are 8'' wide so a 205 is pushing it lol

205/45 x18 tyres are I believe completely the wrong size. 18" wheels on a MK1 Fabia need to have extremely low profile tyres to avoid arch rubbing and inducing large speedo error. Tyres need to be as already highlighted 215/35 x 18.

Put it this way - Golf R32 MK4 has 225/40/18 as standard - your car is a platform smaller so needs smaller tyres in both measurements.

Been looking at 18's for my new vRS but not sure if I can be bothered with the extra expense on tyres.

I will give that a miss then mate thanks just saved me a bit of money

If they fitted with no major issues they would be on my car!!

Although I am tempted to buy genuine 17" ones, but they are £260 each!

I was told by my local alloy wheel shop they are.

But I have never seen them! I searched all over the internet!

You can get genuine 17's - they're 5x112 and need hub adaptors or look over in Europe for genuine 5x100 wheels.

I found 17"s before but as Mr Ad said, think they were in Europe. I found a uk site saying they were coming soon but if they have arrived I don't know

I have found 2 sets of genuine BBS CH's in 17x7.5 and 17x8. Both sets 5x112 and come with hub adaptors to fit as the ET is quite high they'll be fine. Lots of money though...

Yeah they are expensive lol. Don't fancy running adaptors tbh.

Those are genuine bbs ch in 18", Car wouldnt move with them on but the profile of the tires was well off.. 18`s dont look right on a fabia they are too big!! Nice wheel but:)
