Start of a problem?

Featured Replies

Evening all,

Iv noticed the past few days my 56 plate vrs seems to take a while to start when turning over.

When I say a while I mean maybe 3 to 4 seconds which seems an age!

No engine management lights are on, just wondered if it maybe the start of something, coil pack or plugs perhaps?

Any suggestions?

Has the battery been replaced since new? If not it is likely to be getting a bit tiered, then cranking speed reduces and leaves no current for the other electrics.

I haven't replaced it since iv had it so its probably the original battery. Will have a look the weekend & see what voltages are going through it. Cheers for your response
