Looking to fit a detachable towbar to my vrs,looking about the cheapest seems to.be a bosal eco detachable,has anybody fitted one to there Octavia?the only other option seems to be a westfalia detachable,I know cheapest isn't always best,the bosal one seems to come straight out where the westfalia one is vertical,I'm wanting one which is virtually invisible when removed.

When its disconnected and electrics are folded up you carn't tell i have a towbar on,

I bought it off ebay cheap so don't know how much it costs new but its a nice fit with minimal cutting on bumper

I can get the westfalia towbar from towequippe off eBay for £184 I think and the bosal is £125 from towequippe as well.

fitted one to my vrs last year . . my electric point didnt fold away so i fixed it in position (doesnt bother me) I have photos of every stage should you want them? got the kit from towquippe and a deddicated wiring kit too.

I have just fitted one of these this week. Electrics fold away like the Westfalia, and is vertical like the Westfalia. Nice bit of kit that fits in spare wheel foam when not used. Link attached for you to look at.

I ended up getting a westfalia detachable towbar from towequippe,fitted great and electrics fold up behind the bumper,so nothing is visible,probably the easiest towbar I have fitted,its only going to be used for a bike carrier,but the wife has ideas of a caravan now lol

I just went to the scrappers and brought a normal one which you can unbolt the tow bar bit itself

leaving abit of the bracket visible. Only cost me £20 lol.

Having trouble finding a swing bracket for the electrics though so at the moment its all in one piece :(
