Hi, I have recently bought an '05 plate Octavia mk2. The problem I've got is that the drivers side window cable shredded. The regulator still moves up and down fine. I wondered if anybody has any guides or tips on how to change the regulator cable and pulley set as found on eBay? All of the guides I have found are mk1 octavia.

I worked for a company that assembled window regs (not VW, that is Brose) and I didn't they are serviceable. The pulleys are usually riveted or permanently press fitted and not replaceable. The brose units could be different of course.....
