Rear washer pipe leaking in the engine bay (does it need an O ring)

My Rear washer stopped working, on inspection I found that it disconnected in the engine bay just next to the bulkhead but when connected its leaking heavily, my suspicion is that there supposed to be an O ring on the connection, can anyone confirm this??

Nope - it should just push together.

They are a tight 'snap' fit. A bit of a pain to get to truth be known

Fixed mine under the engine bay and then it leaked at the rear, to access this join remove the offside boot lining above the wheel arch, the join is at the top.

I just ripped the clip off and replaced it all with a tiny silicone hose has worked an absolute treat

mine popped off twice there, i just pushed it back on and cable tied it either side of the joint and its still going strong!
