Plastidip

Featured Replies

Hi, just a quick question regarding this, has anybody used it on their own alloys?

If so, how did it turn out...easy to do....durable?

Thanks in advance.

Never used it but been looking into it as it seems a great idea. If you don't like the colour or finish just peel it off. Can't go wrong really.Have a look at this video. I have gloss black wheels that i just touch up with a normal spray can but might consider a change of colour in the future.

Ye it seems a no brainer to me, its meant to be pretty durable according to reports. Im thinking of going white, my car is currently gun black metal, i think it will look pretty smart.

Just been looking into ordering 2 cans of the black spray for £30 including p&p. Can be used on anything so have lots of ideas around the house garage as well as on the car. Might spray my rusty lower strut brace and rear anti roll bar, wing mirrors and possibly at some stage do the wheels! Like you say it's a no brainer!

Ye i've seen that, a whole red or blue spray would look good but i can't afford it just yet, i kind of like my original colour anyway. Alloys is my limit at the moment, I will update when/if i do.

They have it for sale in demon tweeks

Ok i've just slashed out on two cans for £30. Let the spraying commence lol!

I've heard u need 5-6 cans to spray all 4 alloys

Where did you order yours from Rooney?

Thats a different alternative to plasti dip, not sure if it will do the same job (it may do a better one) and they only do it in 3 colours, no white available :(

Bought mine from Pastidip uk. £2 cheaper than i could find anywhere else.

Not planning to spray my gloss black wheels with it (yet) but i'm now continually looking for things to spay around the house as well as the car.

Hours of fun to be had i reckon!

There is another thread where its been used to spray the grille chrome surround, so this is where it could be really useful.

Really not sure about spraying my wheels, but I guess it might actually help preserve them anyway, and you wouldn't even need to clean them, simply peel off and spray on again!

Exactly, can't go wrong really! Now just need to wait for plasti dip to get some white spray in stock!

Hi I have just plasti dipped my wheels, my octavia badge and my grill it now looks awesome. The stuff is very easy to use and as you say if you don't like it you can just peel it off. Check these videos out on you tube they will show you all you need to know dipyourcar.com, happy dipping.
