mirror indicator lens

Featured Replies

Thanks to some idiot i have had the near side mirror damaged, no marks cracks on the color coded mirror but the built in indicator lens is damaged. Does any body know if you can get a replacement lens or am i going to have to buy the whole unit. As is typical the mot is due next month as well.

We had a similar issue and I was told that the indicator lens is an integral part of the unit so ended up purchasing a complete unit through the forum. When it arrived I couldn't see a way to remove the lens although someone more technically minded than me on the forum might know how to separate it.

Hope this helps.

The Elegance/L&K puddle/indicator units are available separately, as I got one recently. They're about £30-35 each. The removal method is as Mike has accurately laid out

That one Silver linked to will do, if you don't have puddle lights - which I'm pretty certain you won't do, if you've got a vRS.

Skodaparts are recommended, and a saving over the dealer price:

This is the nearside (passenger) unit, if you have puddle lights

http://www.skodaparts.com/product/octavia-n-s-indicator-mirror-31992

Part number: 1Z0 949 101D

If you just need the basic unit with the indicator only, it's a C revision: 1Z0 949 101C

You can easily check as if you look closely at the underside of the lens unit, you'll see the part number there.

The UK spec vRS doesn't get the puddle lights.

Knew the pre-FL didn't, but wasn't sure if it was an option on the FL now?

The OP doesn't list which version his car is so I wasn't sure...
