told to expect delivery end july beginning of august, but could be earlier....No we don't believe it either.

Congratulations, you must be the first Briskoda Citigo'er!

Great, what options/colour did you go for? Did you go for the 60ps?

We went for the Elegance 5 door in Sunflower yellow with Ivory interior.60ps.

Options: Convenience pack (cruise control, trip computer and rear parking sensors.)

Spare wheel( £50.)

we are going for the 60 elegance green tech 3 door with the option of turning the passenger air bag off...........

we are going for a pcp but want to pay £100 per month and put more down, just hope the skoda dealer can do it ?

we only do about 3 to 5 thousand miles a year mainly school run and asda

Maybe not that little, maybe £130 with 30% deposit.

just done a quote on line.............

vw up blue tech with metalic £9700 more or less same as citigo

£3,000 deposit with 7000 miles a year over 42 and it was £96 per month........

That a Take Up or Move Up? I keep forgetting they're cheaper!

We've been looking at the Up White!

It's a random little engine, the oil filter is on the sump and the exhaust manifold is part of the cylinder head.

So new exhause manifold, new head?

That's not going to be nice if it ever needs doing, although I guess it get's over having to clean the valves out on a DI engine.

  • 3 weeks later...

Had a testdrive in a UP! 60ps BMT 5 door today.

I really liked it and reminded of my first car, a 1979 1,1L Golf mk1... what joy and freedom that car gave me.

I was really impressed with the driving position and "big car" comfort, could have spent hours in it without any problems (I'm 190cm tall). The car was brand new, 190km on the odo, but felt surprisingly willing. Didn't push it to hard, but the sound was fabulous!!

I expect the Citigo to be exactly the same, and maybe I will buy it as a second car. They also had one with the panoramic roof on display, and think I would get one with this option. Makes the interior seem even more "spacious".

Of the 3 (Skoda,VW and Seat) I think the Seat Mii looks best, but as there are no official Seat dealers in Norway this is not an option for me.

BTW, does anybody know it the 1l MPI engine has a timing chain or belt?

Did have a look to see if it was chain or belt...wasn't able to find it in black and white but one or two reports suggest it's belt - but with a long life and seemingly remarkable high mileage before replacement is recommended.

Did also see come comments about penny pinching on the electric door switches (maybe on lower spec models) haven't yet gone to look to see what models get driver controlled switches for both sides and which ones don't.
