I saw that, it was a green mk2 vrs I think. The super grippy track surface was what caused the heat build up In the tyre and ultimately caused the sled destruction of the tyre :o

I saw the fifth gear thing... He seemed happy to drive it round the bowl flat out all day until the tyre disintegrated.....

Uhhh ohhh dont think i want to watch that..... Green vrs lent by skoda? Mines happens to be the ex press car....... So theres a good chance that could be mine :giggle:

Sorry Jon, can't find it off hand ( no pc trying to live on my phone! Lol and it's not easy) he did secure several 1.4 world records though before his tyre died....
