i like joms, have had them on audis, and dubs. tho they do not make a set with the drop link attachment the vrs needs. Theres loads of threads on here about coilovers. you aint getting a cheap set of coilovers for a vRS im afraid.

I just fitted some £400 fk Highsports and they are so comfortable i forget im slammed half the time.

do you guys no what the cheapest set of coilovers around is for the mk1 vrs as there are some on ebay that state they are compatible but i never really trust the ebay listings as budget is around 250 or do u guys think i would be better off just getting some springs

the FKs are the cheapest with a decent drop. you can get APs but with the rs already lower than a normal octy you only end up with about 25mm drop. not worth it for the £360+ outlay. as i mentioned, the FKs are mega comfy. not bouncy or crashy at all!

Springs are cool but imo you can never get it riding how you want it.

that is probably more than the wife will allow lol what am i looking at for a decent set of springs without to much of a harsh ride roads around here are garbage u guys have any links to any that are worth me considering have also put up a post in the wanted section if anyone knows of any vrs coilovers for sale

You'll be lucky to get a full set of replacement standard springs and shocks for £250 let alone aftermarket ones :(

If the stuff thats on there at the moment is still ok and passing MOTs then I'd just leave it and get saving for coilies.

The JOM kit doesn't fit the VRS.

What other parts should be replaced when installing coilovers? I have seen that some people suggest replacing the top mounts... Anything else?

Sorry for thread hijack btw...

Top mounts and the nuts etc that come with them. Can also replace the rear bump stops too.
