Dyno Run

Featured Replies

Was at my local Subaru Impreza RR day yesterday. I never took my Impreza type R as the weather was terrible. I put my Fabia on the rollers and managed......................................

258 bhp / 355 lbs ft............................

Quite happy with that. Torque is slightly down compared to the last print out I have but the bhp has increased. The car made less power (249 bhp) when I used the methonal injection. Looks like that will be getting ripped out...............................

Looks like that dyno has given you some free power there!

None the less, still a very impressive result

Often rollers will show less power/more torque or vica versa iirc. Decent result though! What's the spec?

Done bud.

True. Been there a few times with the Subaru club and the figures are always different. I will take the first figures on my signature as gospel as these are from Jabba Sport.

Well said fella..................

Too many people on here s%$^ them selves when people come on and say they got anything over 220 - 230... end of the day a rolling road is not fact its an indication to the power output.

What 258 bhp / 355 lbs ft basically means is: his fabia will rip your face off lol.

LMFAO.

It does that as it goes like fook............................

Could always see this thread turning into another rolling road slanging match lol!

Fair play, those figures are amazing! Bet that's an experience to drive :)

Yes, we've had enough of those before. It gets a bit boring after a while.

As long as it goes like a rocket then that's fine.

Handling set up and driver ability is more imporants than a 10 or 20bhp variation between different rollers anyway.

Yeah it's a good drive. Cracking suspension set up too that gives the car a great little set up.

Wow, either figure is mighty impressive IMO :)

I'd love to do some more to mine in the near future, but what are the over all costs do you reckon for all the gear to hit 230/40ish bhp?

2.5K cover it?

Just about cover it with 2.5k if you shop around :)

Hybrid turbo was about £1100 last tine I checked, SS FMIC £500, you`d really want a SMF at that power so £1000 for that, plus £350 mapping & £300 maybe for labour thats around the £3300 mark. You could save a bit by attempting to use a eBay jobbie intercooler & just a standard DMF/uprated clutch but if your going for a full 230-240bhp and full torque map you`d want decent tried and tested parts for reliability. If you wanted to go for around 200bhp and a torque limited map you could use a stock clutch or just a uprated one (keeping the DMF) & cheapy FMIC to save a few quid. If your really wanting to make the most of the turbo then you need the rest of the parts to support it. This is before any brakes or suspension have been touched but gives a rough idea, although I havent checked recent prices.

Can get pretty expensive. Bought mine with everything done. Got receipts for over £15K over the last 8 yrs.

Done the same with my Impreza so know how expensive it can get one thing I do know is that if you decide to modify then do it right rather than skimp on quality with inferior parts.

when i read this phil i sometimes think i shouldnt of sold it lol

but i know you'll take good care of it m8
