Manufacturer Eco Models

Featured Replies

Why is it that some manufacturers green models are actually blue?

Volkswagen - Blue Motion Technology

Mercedes Benz - BlueEfficiency

Toyota - Hybrid Synergy Drive (the logo is part blue: menu-link-logo-hsd.gif

ecoFLEX from Vauxhall is midly blue-ish in colour!

Is Skoda the only one to really get it right with Greenline. Although I think the Volvo Drive is green?

I remember reading an article in a car mag a while back that "mfr's see blue as being more green than green"......!..go figure..?

.....why is a carrot more orange than an orange anyone....?

Marketing crap.

'Green' is getting a bit old and unfashionable as a term.

'Blue' is for whatever reason still seen as 'eco' but isn't as tired as green (blue orb?).

My guess is we'll start to see 'white' models. I can't think of any other cool (temp) sounding colours).

Whiteline, Whitemotion etc etc.

Red is assocated with speed (redline) therefore poor eco so are any other warm colours.

Black is used for luxury models

The sheeple are easily led.

Probably comes from Add Blue -which is probably better than Add Yellow.

White doesn't really work for Eco unfortunately. White hot for example. Blue is seen as a cool calming colour and works for hybrids etc to signify electricity maybe..

its all feckin codswallop, none of are really very "green" at the end of the day.
