Will Mk1 Vrs Coilovers fit a Mk2?

Featured Replies

I have just turned my mk1 back to standard and traded it in for a new vrs. I still have the coilovers from it and they are only around 2 months old so I wouldnt mind putting them on the new car but will they fit. Ive been told that the will but im not sure. Does anyone know for sure?

Think they are different mate. Best compare part numbers from yours to the new ones offered?

I would say no. Main reason is the weight difference over the front wheels.

Ye they look roughly the same just the strut tops are different but I think it would just be a case of swapping them. There isn't very many company's doing coil overs for the mk 2 yet and those who do aren't affordable. If anyone has seen an affordable set let me know.

You can get joms or fks for very cheap but their cheap for a reason

Im sure either the mk2 or the mk1 has 3 bolts on the top and the other has 1 or something along those lines

Mk 2 has 1 bolt. Speak with Gaz shocks. Produced my kit with height and rebound adjustment and will be around 549 -599 plus vat which is not to bad for what they are

£600 + vat is KW money, I know which i'd rather have...

You can't go wrong with Weitecs, £550 inc vat

600 plus vat may get you variant 1 kws but these are equivalent to variant 2s which are around 950

KW = crashy.
