New Badges - Available yet?

Featured Replies

I'm shortly going to be getting the grille colour coded and would rather stick the brand new design badge on. Anybody know if they are available yet?

The new ones look better than the old ones, and look like they'll last longer too (none of that water ingress damage). You have a quality car, it deserves quality badges.

I thought you had them on order at your local dealer ready for when they become available?

I suspect that they won't be released for sale as a spare part until they are being fitted to cars in the factory - which I don't think they are yet...

Can't understand why skoda are marketing the new badge design if they aren't actually putting them on their products yet, been out for a while now, wonder what they are waiting for, unless it's a global campaign and uk cars haven't caught up yet??

Nah not me - I tried but couldn't find part numbers on EKTI so no way of placing an order!

It seems rather silly of Skoda to release the design last year and still not be using it. Useless........

Given that the new orders for Octy II seem to be from stock only now, I suspect the new badges will arrive with Octy³

Someone defo has them on order, part numbers are available, they just haven't been released for sale, maybe it was Blurs?

I've been waiting for them myself. I was initially told that as all new cars would be displaying the new badge from March 2012 I was happy to wait. However that date has come and gone and no new badge on cars - so no new badge to buy.

I cannot believe they are waiting until late 2013 (Octavia 3) to release the new badges.

Alan (bluevrs) has the complete set on order - bonnet, boot and wheels!

Perhaps Alan can post the list of PN's?

AFAIK the new badge wont make an appearance until the launch of the new model Skoda (Rapid?)

from a citigo

Just seen this guys, Stacy( DM Keith Parts) rang me to say they had come in, but although they were completely different part numbers they were the original badges . Even she was in disbelieve , she sent them back and asked what is going on? I will give her a ring or pop in again on Tuesday. I ordered them June last year!

:giggle:

Mmm not sure if I like the new badges,

They are almost identical to the badges on Skodas pre 1995 or thereabouts. I had badges just like that on my second favorit. The Green ones were all the rage when the Felicia came along.

ah forgot about the citigo being the first in the new range

I will be requesting a set of these when i take my car in for the 2nd time to have new badges under warranty due to corrosion. This set have only been on since Sept. Why they can't sort this corrosion issue out is beyond me.

Noticed the front one on mine is going that way too; not good.

How difficult is it to remove the old and fit the new? The one on my boot is starting to get patchy.

Front and rear going on mine again. Wheels not so yet but the were taken off only a couple of months after they were fitted for my winters so haven't endured as much as the others!

The one on the grill is tricky as it has a rubber bit that attaches through a hole on the grill surround so you need to cut it from behind which means you have to take the grill off and detach the grill surround from the grill which is a major pain in the arse. Mine is now only stuck on with double sided sticky pads though so it will be easier to get off.

My grill one is okay - what about the boot lid one?
