Last Saturday went for a demo in a new Octavia 1.9 TD, 140bhp, 'Ambience', to be honest the cars was a reverlation both in terms of performance and quality of finish etc, The car was a demonstrator and had just under 2,000 miles on the clock.

I have a Fabia Vrs, exactly a year old, with 11,00 miles on the clock, after the test drive i jokingly said to the dealer how much would it cost me to change, to my amazement he offered me 11,200 part ex on my Fabia,{I ONLY PAID 11,480 FOR IT FROM NEW}.

The cost for me to change was 1,900.

Bearing in mind the quoted performance figures for both cars are almost identical.

Is this a good deal !!!!, Really do not know what to do!!!!

Any thoughts, comments would be appreciated.

Sounds a good deal - if you want a change I would accept both are great cars - I am sure the Fabia will be changed in some way again before the Octavia.

I think you mean the 2.0l

Well I have done exactly the same, but I have ordered a Sport instead of the ambiente and brand new, not a demonstrater. So personally I would go for it if you like that car.
