Just say its all to do with the "unbundling" of the Church of England as the the established state relgion and that under new equality legislation, from 6th April she has to buy you a wedding ring of your choice to make up for the fact that you already had to buy one of her choice.

To incentivise the required action just say that if she buys this one there's a chance of entering a Prize draw for a holiday in the Seychelles.

This sort of tosh seems to have worked for call-me-dave and his mates for the last 25 years.
