Fabia II vRS headlight bulbs

Featured Replies

Hi all, after some bulbs to match my led's on my fabia Vrs. If anyone could give me some recommendations that would be great! Cheers

The brightest halogen lamps for h7 are philips xtreme that are slightly whiter than oem but the brightest (wont match the led colour) and osram nightbreaker that are slightly whiter than the philips even and almost as bright but not quite as bright as the philips these will be going that way but still not quite as daylight white but the thing people dont realise is as soon as you have lamps with a blue coating to match these you loose lumens. The best way is expensive philips xenons 4200k but these require work to fit and are technically not legal (hidplanet.com is a good site for lighting geeks btw!)

the best halogen H7 to match led's I think it's the osram cool blue hyper, they are 5000k, I swaped the night breakers for this, they are much more white but also much less bright, don´t know if its less brighter then the standar bulbs.

+1 for philips xtreme vision H7

I agree these are the best, who cares what kids think when they look at your cars headlights its about the most lumens on the road so you can see things quicker and there not dull and yellow anyway. I have found out tho that because the xtreme burn hotter after a lot of use they will start to loose brightness so maybe im sad but on my cars I change them every year.

The brightest road legal bulbs you can get are piaa extreme white plus bulbs but they are 50 quid a pair but well worth the money

I've been thinking about a pair of these too!

Have you any pics of them fitted?

I have the piaa night tech bulbs in my dipped and the others for main beam. Can take a pic if you like??

fire away pitbull ;-)

Very interested to see what the piaa bulbs are like compared to the oem bulbs.

8000k H.I.D kit gives them a nice blue glow

Is it me or do "performance" bulbs like the osram nightbreakers not last very long? Or am I just unlucky?

Try the osram nightbreaker Plus

They wont last as long because to get the brightness they burn much harder and hotter!

The piaa bulbs are good but there not as bright as the philips if you check some reviews and even autoexpress im not putting them down and theres probably not much in it but the philips give the most lumens im 99% sure from all the reviews and tests I have read. Im probably going to take the pricey hit and go for the genuine philips 4200k hid kit to get yet another 100% over the 100% philips xtreme so 200% brighter than the stock bulbs just hate all the cables under the bonnet.

My osrams finally turned up on Friday! Only problem is I can't seem to get the old bulbs out! :S reading the manual but It doesn't give you clear instructions on how to remove them. Any ideeas?

It's very fiddley I got my bonnet up so will show you right now.

pull the rubber covers off and twist the bulb housing. takes a bit of pressure but they will come out eventually.

i have orsam hyper cool blue in my car

Thanks wilko! Guide was really good! Changed the bulbs in no time! Only problem is the bulbs I brought turned out to be basically the same colour as the original ones so need to go back on eBay in buy some actual white ones this time! Lol

Yea if you want "the look" go for the osram cool blues (see my picture as I have them) and if you want the lumens on the road, night breakers are your bulb ;-)
