Taylor477 Skoda Fabia vRS mk1

Featured Replies

Hey Everyone!

I have finally purchased a Skoda Fabia VRS (wooooooooo)

It is a 55 plate 2006, with 65000 miles, and is completely standard!

I have taken a few shody pics with my iPhone (not bad) but I will upload some more with my SLR,

after I have seized an opportunity of dry weather to give it a thorough clean!

Here are a few piccys

photo1.jpgphoto21.jpgphoto3.jpgphoto2.jpg

Pictures taken at the gym as I felt the need to after a 6 hour journey from picking my furbie up... hence the need for a clean too..

As modifications are Brisky members key interests I thought I'd give a quick run down of what I plan to do in the near future (budget dependant)

Interior:

vRS Alloy Footrest

Head Unit (haven't decided between single or double din yet)

Leather seats (either seat surgeons or wanting some golf gti style)

Air vent trims in Piano Black vinyl

Exterior:

Cupra Front Splitter

lamin-x or fly eye headlamps and rears

Rear Parking sensors

BBS LMS replicas (was thinking about some spyders but too popular)

Black Golf MK4 side strips

Performance:

PD160 intake

Remap (most probably Shark STS.. hopefully another group buy soon)

Miltek full turbo back exhaust

Handling:

Coilovers (undecided between KW1, Weitecs Hicon GT, or JOM[best value?])

312mm brakes

Front Strut Brace

Rear Strut Brace

Whiteline RARB (dependant on how coilovers feel)

That's all I can think about right now.. which to be honest is quite a lot.

Will get out some point this week and give her a good clean

Cheers everyone :)

I would recommend considering replacing suspension bushes if its still on its originals, perhaps tying it in to when you get coilovers. Other than that good list, all common mods so you should have no problem finding info on them

Are those the console bushes on the wishbones? If so then I have replaced those as I knew it was a common fault. Yeah I have chosen a basic list of mods, some of which I can do myself as I am new to modding so wanna keep it simple..

I found these laying about so I thought I might as well..

I took some time today to consider styling.. I fancy a white on black image.

Considering white and black retro badges from Pasty Boy

BBS LM reps in matt white (am going to photoshop first to see what they look like..)

Black 312mm callipers with white VRS decals (may be pointless with the BBS LM's as of the small spoke clearance)

I was thinking about having a white roof, door handles, and wing mirrors but still very undecided as trying to avoid boy racer style image.

Opinions?

Update..

Alloy Footrest,

LCR front splitter,

312mm brakes

have now been ordered.

That's it until next pay cheque!

Some good plans, hopefully shark will put on a GB soon so I can get involved too!

I think the white with the black will work, but will be a ball ache to keep em clean, but a good few layers of wax or sealant and a regular jet wash will keep em looking good!

Yeah lets hope!

That's what I'm thinking.. BBS LM in matt white would be a night mare to keep clea.. but may still be worth it

Cheers buddy :) I have run out of budget for a while as am saving for KW V1 Inox so probably won't have any more updating for a few months.

Yeah fit really well, just need a strong T-wrench or Torque wrench to undo the bolts, remove the box on the left of the box, need to undo 3 small bolts and unclip the cables to the box out, then fit your bar and do the bolts up tight, but be careful not to snap, I used silicone seal to keep the bolts in good condition, and then put the small box back in place and voi la! Really does make the car more solid entering and holding the corners!

An interesting update.. I came out to my car this morning.. and the 14 screws holding my splitter to my bumper had been perfectly removed.. and my splitter was gone.. Cheers pikeys.

B******s! :(

Its hardly worth having anything nice these days :( Is it me or is the spoiler the wrong one? Looks a bit small to me.....

Prob see some chavved up 1.1 106 zest rocking around your estate with a familiar front splitter on now.

Chop their hands off!

Yep :( Not going to bother with another one.. at least for a while anyway, saving for KW v1 Inox :)

Yeah I know.. its been on for 8 months but its still annoying :( Also, its the 'base' spoiler, the proper one had so much lacquer peel and ruined paintwork when I got the car and wasn't really worth the repair money of £150+ although I kinda wish I had it done now as its not the same without.

I'm going to be on the lookout for the thieving pikey! The worst part is its not even that expensive so I don't understand why someone would want to steal it when they can pick on up brand new for £40!? Logic is lacking these days..

Just turned 80K miles :)

Really nice looking car.

I nearly had a black magic if the garage hadn't messed around and i'd hope it would have looked something like this. :)
