Dragon Tuning Box for 2.0 140 TDI

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have had two 1.9 110 Octavia Estates (faultless over 5 years), and I'm looking forward to getting a new Octavia II 2.0 TDI in a couple of months. Toys include: towbar, 17" wheels/sport suspension, multifunction wheel, and light-assist (why not?).

The question: does anyone have experience of the digital Dragon tuning box for the 140 bhp 2.0 TDI? What I like is effortless acceleration at low rpm (ie lots of torque), rather than a major increase in top speed. How much can these boxes be adjusted? Is it worth the £300. Thanks for your thoughts!

Don't know what they are like on the new Octy but go well on my 1.9tdipd all I can say about the price is HAGGLE ......most of them go for about £200 on ebay so mention this and ask what they can do you one for...... but don't pay £300

Didn't realise there was two threads, so I'll post my comments in this one as it's probably more relevant :D

I've heard reports of them on the 1.9 PD engine and they have 16 levels of adjustment. Can be had off eBay (brand new from Dragon) for 200 quid I believe too :D

I've got an analog one on mine which is not adjustable and cost a mere 30 quid. It simply overfuels and gives effortless low-end torque, but not the pulling to the red-line that the digital box can offer....

If it is the same as mine look at the end opposite to where the wires go in and there should be 4 rubber bungs .....remove them and there are screws underneath this allows you to take the end off and there are pins and jumpers inside....they are a swine to take off/put on though little dip switches would have been so much easier

the digital ones dont need ajusting though do they?

Not as such but there are 16 levels of ........well not sure really have only tried number 11 that it came set on (quite progressive) and 16 (hold on to your hat) but that was a bit too much .....like being kicked by an elephant :D
