hi

i have had some problems witht he mdi port i conect the iphone ot it and was working fine since got the car. came back form offshore yesterday and the misses says it been playing up so i conect it to my iphone again and then it works then stops and when you start car again it does not conect again it only says aux on screen of stereo. anyone have a idea what problem could be. i have checked all the conections

Sounds as though the connection for the MDI to the back of the stereo is loose - I had problems with mine after I had a Parrot kit fitted. I assume that you are still under warranty as the stereo will have to come out to fix it - I don't think it's a difficult job though.

Exact same thing happened on my passat mdi, ended up getting a new unit fitted.
