Instrument Cluster Plastic

Featured Replies

Has anyone noticed how incredibly prone to scratches and swirl marks the anti reflective coating is? I dusted ours at the weekend and was shocked to fine tiny abrasions on it even with a silk lcd display cloth and specialist cleaning solution. Bit worried it's going to be a right mess after another 3 or so dusts..

How hard is it to replace the plastic if it needs it in a few years? Is it seperate from the instruments or all one unit?

Also anyone tried any of these on instrument plastics?

No need to replace just polish. I have to do mine at some point.

+1 for gtechniq, also use their fabric protector

Don't use Autosol Metal Polish on your interior plastics! I use this product at home for cleaning/restoring pinball machine legs and (metal) ramps - It will permanently damage plastic because it's very abrasive.

For plastic parts I use this product:

It is great for all plastics and glass - especially delicate/fine plastic - trust me, I've been using it for years on cars, pinball machines, vinyl records, ipods etc.

I friend of mine gave me Novus (1, 2 and 3) indeed they are great.
