drl wiring

Featured Replies

having trawlled thro loads of threads on this i need a definative answer! i have removed the headlamp switch and found a terminal marked 'tfl' but it has no wire leading from it. do i just need to fit a wire and use this as live feed to drls and then just earth them for them to work legally?

Best way to fit drl lights is from the switched live under the steering wheel above the pedals there is a relay plate with terminals. Easiest is to get one of those kits that pick up the engine being turned on, just 2 wires to the battery and one to the headlights which turn it off when the lights go on

ok so i have been out and checked the tfl pin on the headlight switch and it does exactly as i read on the thread. live feed when ignition is ON and no feed when sidelights are turned on so correct for drls.

onlt issue is that there is no wire in the socket for the tfl pin, anyone know where i can get the tiny spade connector attached to a wire that i can push into the socket to connect it up to the pin in the switch?
