BlackSmoke.co.uk Remap

Featured Replies

You know he says egr delete does that mean it removes the egr light on the dash?

yea

Once remapped the EGR light will need reset (any engine scanner).

This is because the fault is stored in the other part of the ecu.

Once it's reset, it will be gone for good.

Cool iv just ordere my cable so I will be purchasing a remap verry soon :)

Do u know what sort of tourque is produces?

The map this thread is about has 288LB/ft @ 1800RPM

Is that safe on a standard clutch? What's a reasonable torque level that'll look after the DMF and clutch assembly?

Iv heard that between 280/300 is pushing the clutch

But if u drive like a **** it won't last long

The standard clutch should cope with 300lbft but if you have a clutch driven by my girlfriend I appologies now as it would have been used a foot rest and will slip.

Remember that a fast car can go slow but a slow car can't go fast.

just to add:

I have remapped 5+ 306 HDI's with a 1260 Cable,

. Ah, this could be problematic for me  I don't gun it below 2,000 rpm but I wouldn't say I'm particularly gentle on the car!

Done this but as I'm not a sponsor of briskoda so I don't want to break any rules.

As long as your not dropping the clutch doing racing starts and flooring it in 6th at 50mph it`ll be fine!

What's the point in doing that anyway 0-30 vrs is slow as anything all about the 40-80+

True, you never know with some people though. No doubt some get a fabia and spend Saturday nights doing wheels spins and **** then ask why they need a new clutch lol
