wh would be intersted in buying the red rock once finished?

Featured Replies

i am building a an utterly mad track car but i have decided once ive had the fun of building it she will be for sale

most will no the spec from my project thread

im sure most will think im mad but i want to buy a house so this will go but i want to sell it 150% finished so i can put my name to this car and know every nut and bolt is perfect

i will be looking for £8750ono with alot of spares including a second block with forged pistons etc etc

anyone intersested let me know its not for the faint hearted lol

to build it to this spec will cost you in excess of 20k

You've only had it 6 months why don't you keep it for a bit once built? Seems an awful waste of money to sell it for a fraction of what's been spent on it.

Whoever buys it you'll be getting a car which was/is a bit of a legend on Briskoda

Other half wants to buy a house and Ive had the fun building it to what its going to be ;-)

Yep someone will get abargain

I'd put it on Pistonheads I reckon you'll get more interest on there.

Prob not in a rush ;-)

Will it be road legal? I could be interested if I could raise the money!

Yep got 6 months tax and year mot ;-)

Sounds good then, well I know I defo can't do anything at the mo but when it's all done I maybe be able to swing something! I wonder how it will cope as a daily driver lol.

erm I dont think youll run her as a daily lol,

Unless your deeef and dont mind being shaken to bits lol. I cant wait till you get it sorted Clive.

I cant afford it but would of loved to have it tho. Wish Id got in there before you did tho lol ;-)

trust me you wouldnt have lol would have been easyier to start again lol

you know you want it buddy sell your car add a few k and its yours ;-) i will do you a good deal lol

Oh yes I would run it as a daily mate I can't see why it would be a problem!

Plus I'm not deaf but going that way so I can just turn my hearing aids off lol

We all know modified cars are worth less so i'll offer you £1500 :D

Tbh i dont want to sound nasty but i think your really going to struggle at that price to the general public, you need to keep it now your too much £ into it

someone will have it.

not me tho sorry.................. cant part with mine really

its an awesome car, and the stuff that clive is doing will really sort the car out, but i agree with bigJase, people just dont want to spend serious money on a modified skoda, its a real niche market/sale and near 9k buys you a lot of other product vag or otherwise.

/\ a nice evo or m3 you could drive every day :)

Well I've already expressed my interest via pm!

good luck driving it as a daily!

Even a? 8k+ its a bargain

Its a bargain as you have to remember its not second hand parts there brand new !!! With spares worth a small fortune it will sell if i.want it to ;-)

Wont be to loud ;-)

I reckon it's more of a track day car than a daily - rem most of the interior has been gutted, even without considering that - i magine it would be very difficult to insure on the road with whats been done, certainly one hell of a mean machine and I hope it finds a good home, would love to see the end result and some vids of it in action.

I could sell in parts but thats not going to happen !!

Once done it will sell its self im 100% sure

When people see the full spec and the extra,s and feel how insane it is, it will go to a new home ;-)

I kind of agree with Snowmuncher in the build thread about sticking the engine in a 4x4 (is it too late to do that? They are dirt cheap now: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-OCTAVIA-1-8-T-ELEGANCE-5-DOOR-OCTAVIA-4X4-UNDER-1200-/200739434250?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2ebd00af0a#ht_1094wt_1344)

Would make it a lot easier to get the power down. It struggled to get 400bhp down through the front wheels when Des had it and in the wet it would wheelspin in 5th.

Sounds like a lot of fun building it though, looking forward to more pics in the build thread

Well insurance is never a problem when you are 35 have have a full clean history as for the loudness well these are 5k of technology which I wear because I am nearly deaf!!!

These though can be adjusted to dial in and out frequency that I want to lose or gain which is handy for annoying rattles lol and being honest I would probably put some kind of interior back in!

I dont know its a very niche market

I had a mk4 golf gt tdi which was derv doctors show car. Its actually still on there website in galleries,

I had bills totalling 12k on modifications and 300+ bhp not bad for a diesel

And guess what i bought it for 5k on a 52 plate with 72k miles, barely a grand more than a standard model
