My first fill up

Featured Replies

Apart from the initial dealer fill up I have just brimed the car for Scotland tomorrow (5p off per litre, £132.9) and Fuelly shows 42.3mpg where the car's computer shows 46.9mpg. Considering it has nearly been all around town not too bad.

Will see how Scotland does for the mpg tomorrow.

How can you afford a fill up at those prices? about £500 per tank by my reckoning

60 litres at £132.9 per litre would be £7,974.00. I don't think 5 pence per litre off is much of a saving on that (£3.00).

Oops my attempt at irony fell flat as I got the decimal point in wrong place- just as OP did. How ironic!!

What engine do those figures relate to?

140 CR and I have driven up to Scotland and have just filled up again. My mpg was 49 at an average speed of 70. The car has now done 1001miles. The journey was very comfortable for me and the wife.

Have had to re-tune the tv though.

Does the TV have a Freeview tuner?

Not bad mpg for a new motor.

Yes it does have all the freeview channels.

I've got good fuel consumption also... not average speed, but doing between 130-148kph and fuel at only 5.7 l/100km (circa 49mpg). I really love the 140TDI...now at 2000km and feels it's getting loosened up. Still miss my Octavia VRS, but this Superb is in another league!!! Absolutely fantastic car, and glad I got it before the facelift...the new facelift look alike the car is made of Lego.
