Boot size difference between hatch and estate

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if there is any difference between the size and shape of the boot in the hatchback and estate. I am asking as I am selling a hatch bag boot liner from an octy 2 estate and have been asked if it will fit a hatchback.

The floor plan is identical. The estate simply gets more space above the parcel shelf / load cover.

The genuine boot liners do have different part numbers though as they are shaped slightly differently. The estate has more of a curvature directly in front of your knees (if leaning into the boot) and the storage compartments on either side of the boot are different too which affects the boot liner shape (the hatch has a netted area to the right, the estate has a little covered compartment instead).

Saying that as long as you aren't too fussy either boot liner will fit either car and 99% of people would never notice.

(I know as I have both an estate and a hatch and have boot liners in both)

How much are you selling it for? And has anyone found a cheaper alternative to genuine?
