Good price for 3 tyres?

Featured Replies

Just been in to my local kwick fit and purchased 2x Michelin 225/45/17y pilot sport 3 and 1x Goodyear 225/45/17y efficient grip.

Total cost for 3 tyres £307 all in including fitting, tyre disposal, nitro air(gimmick) and disposal.

What do you guys think?

I puchased 2x Hancock V12 Evo tyres from Camskill in 225/40/18 for my Octavia VRS FL. They cost £90.60 each inc delivery. I paid a local tyre shop to fit and balance them (£10 per wheel).

I wasnt sure about the Hancocks but a friend ran them on his Civic Type R and said they were good. They also scored highly in Evo Magazine tyre test.

You can get the hancocks in you 17" size for £77.40ea including next day delivery. So you could get all 3 tyres for £232 then just add another £20-£30 for fitting/balancing.

My car had Michelin Pilots on before and i noticed no difference when switching to the Hancocks....if anything they give a slightly nicer ride. Grip levels seem identical on my 170hp Diesel.....The Michelins might be noticeble with more power?
