Skoda Superb DRL's

Featured Replies

I am a new owner of a Superb, but I am a little puzzled.

I have seen other Superbs on the road and they have a light in their Foglight units which acts as a DRL.

I have tried activating DRL's in my car but it seems to just turn the main lights on.

Am I doing something wrong. I have done it through the interface in the clocks, and I have done it with the ignition and using the indicator stalk to turn on and off. But both ways only mean that the Main Headlights are on.

How old is the car, if brand new then it sounds like it has been coded incorrectly, so take it back to the dealer.

Just noticed from your other thread that it is a 2009 car, that's the reason - see below.

If it is S/H then have you actually checked that the fog light unit has two bulbs? The older (pre 2010 IIRC) cars did not have the separate DRL in the fog light housing.

OK I'll check mine in the morning regarding the foglight setups - if they arent configured for DRL's then I will have to look into fitting some......

If I go down the road of fitting my own, does anyone have any guidance as to the cars wiring that I can use as an Ignition live, and also the loom relevant to show headlights are on and so dim the DRL's, but also indicators also.

Is there a central point under bonnet where I can get them all, or do I have to wire them from different.

All advice welcome .....
