Odd electric mirror issue

Featured Replies

My mirror doesn't dip in reverse. I found a thread on here that gives details of how to set it up which I followed but still, no joy.

But I found that when the switch is in the right position, it seems to move both mirrors in opposite directions? So I select 'R' and push it to the right and the right mirror moves right and the left mirror moves left? I have to set the right mirror and then change it to 'L' and then move the left mirror on its own. I guess when I collected the car, I set the right mirror first and never noticed it moved the left one.

Anyone else experience this or has had issues with the dipping of the left mirror when reversing?

That's working right lol.

The idea is that when different sized drivers alter the the drivers mirror the passenger one moves too making it easier to get the right setting.

You should be able to adjust this in the settings bit on the MFD - you can select whether both mirrors move at the same time or whether they adjust individually.

Might work?

Dunno if this is the same as the older cars, but you need electric seats with memory to have the dipping in reverse on the older generation models

Scott, as mentioned you can set the mirrors to individual through the MFD. I think with the mirror dip the mirror switch needs to be in the 'L' position for it to work - but correct me if I'm wrong.

Mirror switch does have to be in "L" to have dip operation. As I do not want the near-side mirror to dip every time I go into reverse I have it set on seat position 3, just too lazy to use control switch.
