Upgrades to 59 Octy Estate 'S'

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I've just traded in my '05 Octy Ambiente estate for a '59 'S'. It drives very nicely but my wife is missing a couple of things from the old one, namely the trip computer (I think that's right - the thing that shows mpg / miles to next fill up etc.) and the armrest between the 2 front seats! Oddly, it does have cruise control, which I wouldn't expect on this model, but I guess it was added as an option by the original owner....

I assume that there's nothing that can be done about the trip computer (but would be happy to be told otherwise) .

I see various people on here have fitted armrests, but couldn't find anyone who'd done it on an 'S' estate. Can anyone recommend a suitable one?

Oh yes, I was also hoping that the 'Swing' stereo would have Aux In. From reading around, it seems to be possible to plug a cable in the back, but I don't get an option for it on the 'media' menu. Is it possible to enable this somehow?

Cheers,

Ian.

I've got a 59 S and the mpg/miles-to-go thinggy is not fitted, just trip-miles-so-far and speed in kph. I think that you would have to have the maxidot fitted for this, which was an optional factory fitted extra.
