Plasti-dip FTW!

Featured Replies

I saw that dipyourcar.com are working on a gunmetal colour. That'd be awesome if they shipped internationally :(

I've had a can of this stuff for a few months sitting in the garage, not got around to doing my grill yet..

spongey - that looks great :) personally I'd leave it matt, don't go glossy.

Looks great. I've heard this stuff mentioned before, but now I've been on their website and seen all the things they do. Not quite sure how you can get camo in a single pack but must be like Tartan paint. :-) Must try some for the load area of my pickup where there's a bit of rust starting to appear - a low risk place to develop the technique before trying it on something that needs to look good.

May be a daft question, but what is "FTW"? Or did you mean WTF...

bought some black off fleabay so going to do my grille and mirrors :)

Thanks. Thought it might be a car related acronym like MuthaF'nSteering Wheel is, but realise its one of those internet phrases I'm too old to to get the context of. When I see LOL, all I can think of is a Beavis & Butthead type s******. My personal favourite: "ceteris paribus", not that you'll see that used much on the internet.

Wow - the internet's clever. It just confused the world for laughing through gritted teeth with a genuinely offensive racist word used by the BNP amongst others!

I think Huey Lewis And The News said it best. "It's Hip To Be Square" !

Plastidip UK website has a really poor range of the more special sprays eg. Glossifier or metalizer .. But they seem to be the sole distributor... I saw the metalizer over the black on some wheels on YouTube... Looked good. Liking your grill too.. ;)

sent from my phone....

They have the Glossifier, its just called F-799 Shine Coating

Not in aerosol though... You will need a sprayer and thinners... :(

the motor factors by me can mix paint and put into an aerosol, wonder would it work if you brought the tin and got em to put some in an aerosol?

I've seen today on the plastidip site they do an aerosol with a glass jar attached so you can spray the tins.. :)... Just need them to get the silver metalizer in stock now...

I've got two tins of black plastidip sitting in the garage waiting to be sprayed on the vrs. I can't make my mind up if it's going to look right on a race blue VRS. I think in hindsight I maybe should have gone for the blue plastidip. Ach well, if black looks guff I can peel it off...
