Missing brake code on data sticker.

Recommended Posts

Decided to get new discs and pads all round. Went with Opie Oils in the end as that's where I got the service kit from and they are running a 25% off Ferodo brakes at the moment (got front/rear discs and front/rear Premier pads for £162 all in). Put in the car details and it came up with loads of choices and then these 3 digit codes. Anyway worked out what they were for and went looking on my data sticker in the service book but was only able to find the code for the rear '1KP'. Being a VRS TDi I knew it had 312 discs on but I couldn't find the code '1LL' or '1LP' anywhere on the sticker. Is this the case for everybody?

Hi I was told these were the brakes that were suitable for my skoda pd vrs 07 from eurocarparts. Disc size quoted for rear was 288mm and front 312mm. There will be 25% off these for being a briskoda member. I havent got round to buying them yet. Hope this helps.

Cheers. It looks to be a similar price with the discount but I've already placed the order with Opie. Was just asking more about the fact that the front brake code wasn't on the sticker and whether it was a common problem.

The vehicle data sticker for my 4X4 also only shows the PR number for the rear disc brakes, ie 1KS - Disc brakes, rear (Geomet D). There are 46 PR numbers (option codes) on that sticker but I managed to get a friendly dealer to print out the vehicle data for my car which lists all 192 PR numbers - including that for the front disc brakes. It is a useful piece of paper to have for reference when ordering parts outside of the dealer network, and if you have access to ETKA. It also lists the car's production date.
