Very similar to a mates one she has just bought. Similar mileage and age. Hers is a blue DSG petrol one. She paid £11800, private sale in Manchester.

any thoughts on how much dealer would charge

I would have thought a bit more than that, 12k - 13k and you may get the top end of that with only 16,000 miles and immaculate condition.

New that car is like 23k+ rrp

Standard VRS spec,

Do you want an answer from a sellers point of view or a buyers? (private or trade)

Because if you are looking to sell it then the answer is - Not as much as you'd like, but if you're buying then the answer is - that's more than I'd like.

In my opinion that car should be quite desirable and a dealer would probably chance his arm at £13 - £14K but he'd give you less than £10K for it (low mileage but nearly 3 years old). Private sell should get you just over £10K, that's what I'd pay for it - Under £20k when new, so 50% of the original cost would be about right.

I'd agree about £10k sounds about right for a private sale, and a dealer might ask for 13 but you should be trying to pay as close to 11 as you can get them

Mine is for sale! Hatchback though. Pm me for details :-)
