Calling all estate owners

Featured Replies

I am due to collect my new VRS estate in about 6 weeks and just want to check something. The dealer is trying to charge me £40 for the boot nets but the latest brochure states the boot nets are standard on all models except the S. So, did your new estate come with the nets?

Thanks

Nope. No nets on mine.

Enjoy your new car!

Got the plastic boot dish though. Invaluable!

Dealer threw it in for free.

Mine came with one for the floor but it's a different one to the two that are available as an accessory.

Sarge.

On mine I got a net for the floor, It's in spare tire compartment below boot floor.

Net on the floor with mine, stops all the small things from rolling about.

I got a boot net in mine as well.(although not a VRs)

yep, i got a boot net foc - as has been said above, its the net that spans the boot floor.

hth.

Charging for this is miserly IMO. Mine were thrown in (literally) with both cars.

Yep got the boot net free with mine. It's really useful too

There was a net of some description in a plastic-bag in the boot side-pockets. I've not opened it, so not sure which one it is

I got one with my vrs. I was sceptical but it's brilliant.

Yup, think I might have had this free of charge too, now I think about it. There's a net type thing in one of my boot side pockets (alongside my family hi-vis vests, window sox, touch up paint, spare bulb kit etc......)

Thanks. One more thing to check when I pick it up.

I got 3 nets with mine.

One you can run across the back of the rear seats/entrance to the boot, one that just covers the floor and one that covers half the floor and then folds upwards to create a partition in the boot.

I use mine all the time and find them invaluable. Especially when shopping

I also have the variable boot floor and the rubber boot mat for long journeys/going camping/taking dogs for a walk.

All my nets where in the wheel well

I got 3 with my scout

Mine came with 3 but after some time I only have 1

Just have a side one to put my sunscreen, supermarket bag and some times a few groceries.

I found the net that covers the floor a pain if I had to take out the rubber boot mat to clean.

And it doesn´t work well if you want to slide something in.

Like the false floor, took it out and don´t feel the need to have it.

I'd like to get a boot tray for my estate, but can't, as I've got the variable boot floor. Any ideas what can be used with the variable floor?

Mike

I have the variable boot floor and I just take it out when I use the boot tray.

3 came with my 118tsi
