First car, Skoda Fabia, already caused a few headaches!

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Loving the forum, so many useful guides!

As I mentioned, bought a skoda fabia I estate thinking it would be pretty bulletproof, and booooy has that not been the case.

Had to have most the front suspension bushes changed, and there is something up with the ignition... every so often it will fire up, only for it to fall below the idle speed and die! Then when you go to fire it up again it flashes a orange car with a key in the centre.... Any ideas?

Hello and welcome. Sorry I'm not sure about your engine issue, but remember the car is 9 years old and suspension components will have to be replaced eventually.

Hope you enjoy the car.

Welcome

All vag motors have the suspension bushes fail at some point. They do uprated bush kits for them that are much better. Just wear and tear really as with all cars.

Which engine is your car btw?

Get someone with vcds to analyse the faults mate otherwise ya Pishing in the dark.

Oh and welcome!

Welcome! Int' immobolliser fault maybe?
