black magic swirls - new kit!

Featured Replies

Having owned my black fabia vrs for over 4 years now its started to show ALOT of swirls, marks, light scratches. Last year i strated getting some products together to start detailing. After my first full detail, foam, wash, clay, glaze, wax. the car did look loads better but just showed the swirls up more so ive been looking into getting a DA kit to remove swirls ready for detail number 2.

Spent alot of time on net looking for kits, whats best etc. Ive came across this and seems good, anyone have the same kit or experience they could share with me about it?

thanks

Thats the polisher I've got, ideal for the first time machine polisher. I've got the Menzerna finishing polish and found it to be blooming great!! Crack on and watch the results  My only bit of advice would be to read the instructions for the DA and tape up any plastic trim so you don't get polish on it.

A good combo that

Personally I use Schol Concepts S17+ and a microfibre cutting pad

thanks for that, its 10% off on that website till midnight aswell so doesnt seem to bad. i have used rotary machine polishers at work before but just wanted something easier for at home lol.

anyone esle use these machine?

I started with that machine mate. Decent but lacks "grunt". I would go for the pro if you have your heart set on a DA. However, If you know how to use a rotary I would always plumb for it, wish I'd skipped the DA TBH, they are quicker and get better results IMO. Having said that, the microfibre pads that Chris is talking about work quicker with DA (not used them myself). A good shout. I didn't get on with the Menz pads and think there are much better pads out there, but they may work for you. Found they clogged up very easily and the compounding pad degrades rapidly. It does represent good value, but with only one of each pads, I personally need more than 1 of the same pad for a full car, but with the spurring tool you could be ok.

Have a play mate and see how it goes. It's hard work but you will be able to achieve a good finish with it mate, just takes patience.

HTH,

Neil
