3 years free servicing query?

Featured Replies

I purchased my car last year through the solutions finance and as part of that my dealer said i had the 3 years free servicing included. Recently my local dealership (Slaters in Abergele) has changed from a skoda dealership to another make, so i rang to ask how the free servicing works (as mine is due the end of july). He asked if i had recieved my vouchers, to which i replied no. He then gave me the number of the new dealership in Abergele (Lightcliffe) and said they could help me. So i rang them and got through to the service manager who told me i didnt need vouchers as when it is serviced they enter my reg into their database which should recognise the free servicing on my vehicle..........as long as it was set up correctly in the beginning he said. He also said i wouldnt know this until after the service. Has anyone else had their fabia serviced through this scheme and how did it work for you?

I have not yet had my first service but........

From what i was told with the free servicing, your car will indeed be on a database. When you take it in they will know that it is a free service, you don't need to provide any documentation.

You kind of have to rely on it having been added to the database in the first place i guess.

Cheers for that. At least he wasnt trying to spin me a yarn then.

When I got the free servicing 6 months ago, I was given a finance type agreement which was signed by both me and the dealer. I kept a copy, they kept a copy. It's probably in your paperwork pack somewhere.

I didn't get the paperwork - its on the database as its 1st service was today :)
