FL Vrs, (Octavia) Maxi Dot " What can you enable yourself "

Featured Replies

Well?

I'll start.....

tourist mode on the Xenons

Mirrors - both together or not

anti hijack locking/unlocking

single door/all door unlock on fob

alarm chirp on/off

bluetooth stuff if you have it

stuff displayed on mfd

daylight saving for clock

(stuggling for more without going outside)

So in short, not much that's useful (but i'm still glad i got it and it looks better than the non maxidot imho)

Cheers sdenny, whats " Tourist mode "on the Xenons

It flattens the beams (and stops the cornering functionality i think) so you don't dazzle Jonny Foreigner when driving on the right

Oh, and i'm sure there's something to do with the windows, so presumably it's one click operation, but i could be wrong on that

So is FL maxi-dot different from pre FL ? if not I didn't think you could enable anti Hijack, is this all doors lock when you reach 5mph,

It's not called anti hijack on my fl. Think its auto locking. But definitely there

I will have to have a look at that one, so does it auto lock when you start movement. Windows, when locking the car if windows are down hold the lock button and all the windows close auto, mine do

winter tire speed warning

rear sensor volume and type of sound

DRL on/off

Rear wiper auto wiping

confort flashes (signal turns)

Footwell lighting on/off and dimming

If bluetooth

you can change ringing sound for example

I think I can choose whether or not to automatically close the windows (and sunroof) if it rains.

Does the FL Vrs have cornering fogs,

Does the Petrol FL Vrs have a cam belt or chain, if chain do they need replacing

Thanks

Does the FL Vrs have cornering fogs,

Not on my Jan 2011 one (although i am lead to believe it can be enabled)

It is just a tick box in VCDS to enable cornering fogs. They also don't come on with the indicators like other models, but more sensibly with the angle of the steering.

I believe the new petrols have chains.

On my prefl the cornering fogs work with both the steering angle and the indicators, but only below about 22mph

Yes.

I didn't think pre fl had cornering fogs option?

Also is the alarm chirp option on pre fl?

Cornering fogs is possible on some pre-FL Octavia's...

sdenny, I have looked on my display and cannot find Auto Locking. Octavia MY58 TDI CR170 VRS.
