I'm not worried about how to do it was just curious if anyone had done it to save weight sort of thing.

I've done it when I once went for a track day and I've also removed the front one which quite heavy. Makes a difference combined with a 1/4 full gas tank.

I removed mine to clean them around a month ago, they do weigh a fair bit I must admit lol

Yes i have with my vRS & darken the windows more because i use it as a van and i dont need the back seats.

Some Rubber matting in the rear and the seats stored away for going back in at some point.

So a little weight saved in the seats removed & no noticable performance improvement empty,

& none lost with a few tins of paint or tyres carried.

(a bit like it does not perform much better with 2 gallons of petrol in the tank or 10 gallons.)

No roll cage fitted or anything because its not a track car or just to pose,

so no bare painted surfaces in the rear.

Done it on Track cars when and where it was necessary to fit the cage and then gone & missed giving people a lift when i really wanted to?

Next time i fit a cage it is also being fitted with at least one rear seat.
