How safe is it to drive without ASR on my 1.8t?

Does it effect performace?

Cheers

Dougie

the asr just stops wheel spin, so unless its wet or launching off the line probably won't need it. just give it a try and start slow so you know what your car does

car seems a touch more lively with it off in my experience...

Esp saved my bacon a few times so I wouldn't turn that off....ASR (anti-slip regulator?) will just stop wheel spin so unless its wet/icey or you have problems getting traction I would turn that off.

ASR slows you down in my opinion. I turn it off when I want to drive briskly.

ASR will slow you down a tad as it will try to reduce engine power when it's starting to slip. Of course you can only reduce it down so much, but if you wanna 'go for it' you don't want it on.

Also, when it's icy you don't want it :D
