Please excuse my ignorance as I have no idea about cars at all, simply because I'm not interested in this, I only know

what I need to know

I've recently acquired the 2001 Skoda Fabia Classic 1.4 MPI (6Y2) and need to replace the oil pressure sensor

as it is leaking badly - as you can see on the pic below. But also there's another 'thingy' which looks like it might

be leaking too and the trouble is I can't find anywhere what it is? Your help will be much appreciated

camshaft position sensor.

Yours looks clean compared to wife's!

We seem to have long term leak from camshaft sensor seal which was masked by oil up the front of the cylinder head.

There might also be a leak from the oil sensor as well!

Still not sure how oil is getting into coolant and causing sludge, but I've been told it might be oil on the coolant pipe that has corroded it and is getting in there...

I have actually broken off the camshaft sensor when I replaced oil sensor with adjustable spanner lol (there's at least one post about the same accident somewhere in here). It appears to be very fragile plastic assembly.

Lesson learnt for future: don't attempt car repairs if you don't have the right tools
