Droning noise, PROBLEM FOUND

Thanks mate. I think the wheel bearing issue might be disregarded now.

Skoda seem pretty set on the noise coming from the gearbox. They did mention maybe a bearing in there but as I say they will need to dismantle, diagnose and then hopefully put a case to Skoda.

I don't cane the car, really look after it so feel a bit peeved if it is a gearbox issue. And for 42k miles?!!

To cap it all off I have a bleeding set of new tyres which it appears I didn't need.

I have been searching on line some say 1K like you say for a new box, others much more. Some encouraging tales of Skoda fronting up some of the cost so fingers crossed.
