Symphony Radio Security Code

Featured Replies

Not for me but for my mother.

Her SE owned since new flattened its battery last week for an unknown reason.

Upon jumping it back to life her Symphony read SAFE as it would given an extended disconnection of power.

Upon digging out the code from the handbook pack entering it had no effect and caused the incorrect attempt counter to go up.

Any reason why the radio won't accept it's own code?

Is there a simple fix or is it a much begrudged trip to the dealers?

Right, Try turning the headunit off, pull the fuse with the ignition off, sit for a couple of mins, Re-insert fuse, ignition on then turn on headunit!

Or same procedure but instead disconnecting the battery or removing the headunit, Fuse seemed the easiest of the lot!

One other thought - has radio been replaced at any time in past . I replaced my battery last October ( car had been sitting with almost flat battery for some months) .Replaced battery and radio saw ECU & all was well .

No score on the fuse front

removed for an hour and a half while the footy was on

no change upon putting it back in and truning everythign back on

still even remembered i'd entered the wrong (right) code twice

radio is the one that went in at the factory

:S

As side note but possibly related i also can't seem to resent the Service Inspection warning spanner

hold the button in turn on the ignition = blank screen for approx 30 seconds before reverting to the mileage reading with a spanner next to it
