Apologies if this has been done 1,000 times before - best places for a remap?

Featured Replies

Had a quick looky on the Search function but cannot see an obvious thread.

So, it was Jabbasport, Revo and AMD a few years ago for VAG tuning without a ecu change, what are the best options now, I see Shark mentioned, guess they are a newcomer? I assume a proper custom map on a dyno is still the best. Have to say, I've not been overly impressed with the AMD One-Click, which was a generic remap for the Fabia with the switchover box.

I would prefer a switchover style box, but would not dismiss a straight map.

Any advice welcome as I've been concentrating on my other cars recently but am likely to be going for a PD170 VRS.

Thanks

Is everyone on holiday as I'm amazed I've had no response?

Would appreciate any opinions on PD170 remaps and whether or not to do the DPF - my driving means I'm unlikely to have DPF problems.

If you search in the relevant forums for your car I'm sure you'll find a huge amount of info...

Seems to be loads of remap threads kicking about!

Many advise Shark

Thanks, I did do a fair bit of research, couldn't find many definitive threads though.

I'm planning to go Shark Stage 1 with a STS as they have a good reputation on the PD170's.

I read something the other day that Revo have stopped doing remaps on this engine due to the dpf issues I think it was.
