GTI Festival 14th October 2012 - Santa Pod (Feeler Thread)

Just putting a feeler out there for anybody who might fancy going down, even get a club stand sorted:

Over the years, from the very first GTI Festival events in the late 1980s, the shows have attracted hordes of Volkswagen enthusiasts to several different venues around the UK. The GTI Festival and ‘Inters’ were for a decade or more, just about the only specialist water cooled VW events of the year. Now, we have a busy ‘calendar’. The 2011 GTI Festival is moving its date to the end of that busy calendar, to establish a ‘Final Fling’ season finale, before the time comes to put cars away for the close season, or pull them apart for mods or winter rebuilds.

The GTI Festival – ‘Season Finale’ is for enthusiasts of all VAG marques, SEAT, Skoda, Audi and of course Volkswagen. Now the Volkswagen Group includes Lamborghini, Bentley and Bugatti too, but the closest we will probably come to seeing any of those will be Bentley rims shoehorned under late Golf arches!

The GTI Festival is a show where all VAG vehicles are welcome with open arms. All clubs are invited to display during the day, and after a very well received revamp of the show layout in 2010, the clubs area is now easily able to accommodate the 40+ clubs who regularly attend the event. If you want your club to be part of the show, you need to act fast. The earliest club bookings get pride of place, and we expect to see a huge number of clubs and registers represented, so get in early!

Just a feeler thread for now, anybody likely to be interested?

£10 entry and £25 for unlimited runs on the strip during the event.

I'll probably pop along

I should be able to , but won't know until nearer the time. Bit busy around that time with the Czech roadtrip then a golf tour, so funds could be tight. A good show though generally.
